Wölflinge & First Blood Part II @ Days on End Festival

Strongly recommended viewing: documentation of this hair-raising performance by Wölflinge & First Blood Part II... Visceral, unsettling, hilarious and very moving.

PERSISTENCIES OF SADNESS & STILL DAYS

I'm currently working on Persistencies of Sadness & Still Days, a four-hour feature film made in collaboration with Rouzbeh Rashidi. Rouzbeh will direct two hours, I'll make the other two. Part minimalist fiction film, part video diary, this experimental collage will incorporate the project Still Days with John McCarthy, which I've been working on for the past year. Look Back on Anger

As the MUBI Notebook film news site reminds us, Kenneth Anger turns 85 today. The filmmaker whose work first ensnared me into experimental film, his films remain unshakeably amongst my very favourites. Therefore it's very nice to discover, through this MUBI post, that he's used a text I wrote about him back in 2003 as the bio on his official website:

Happy Birthday, Mr. Anger!
