Ten Minutes Isn't Worth a...

Editing is now completed on Ten Minutes Isn't Worth a Dream, my collaboration with Humphrey Esterhase, starring Mollie Anna King. This melancholic reverie represents a remarkably smooth integration of our styles. The collaboration was likewise surprisingly harmonious. Esterhase was a little nervous at first, not having made a film for forty-odd years, but soon got into the flow of it and his more measured approach to image and pace sparked off my taste for repetition with quite interesting results. It was also striking to discover that he has a good working knowledge of recent video editing technology.

(An)Other Irish Cinema in Lucca

It's with unabashed and well-nigh uncontrolled excitement that I can announce that the wonderful Lucca Film Festival (October 4th - 9th, Lucca, Italy) is presenting a programme of (An)Other Irish Cinema films on October 6th.

Also in the (as always) terrific line-up this year: Abel Ferrara, Adolpho Arrietta, Franco Brocani, Viva Auder, Gerard Courant...

More details to follow. In the meantime, here's the poster Rouzbeh Rashidi designed for our screening:
